Rationale of fair use for 21 Things I Want in a Lover, So Unsexy[edit]

The image Under Rug Swept German album sampler.jpg is being linked here; though the picture is originally copyright, I (Extraordinary Machine 04:09, 8 April 2007 (UTC)) feel it is covered by fair use because:

1. No free or public domain images, or unfree individual single covers, have been located for these singles.
2. The image is of lower resolution than the original cover, which is not of the original album. Copies made from it will be of inferior quality, and could not be used as artwork on illegal vinyl or CD copies of the album.
3. The image does not limit the copyright owners' rights to distribute the album or singles in any way.
4. For articles about promotional singles, the promotional CD artwork is arguably one of the most important images that could be included. This is the artwork, intended by Maverick Records for wide distribution. As such, it has future historical significance, and is a more appropriate choice than any other image available.
5. This image is used on various websites, so its use on Wikipedia does not make it significantly more accessible or visible than it already is. The cover is being used for informational purposes only, and its use is not believed to detract from the original album or singles in any way.
