Football League Championship Manager of the Month
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Football League Championship Manager of the Month award is a prize of recognition given to association football managers in each division in the English League system. The award is announced in the first week of the following month. It is said to have a curse as its recipients often start a bad run after winning the award.
According to Football League sponsors Coca Cola, "The decision to present the Coca-Cola Manager of the Month awards was made by the Coca-Cola Awards panel headed by Sky Sports pundit Chris Kamara, former World Cup referee Jack Taylor, on behalf of The Football League, John Barnwell, Chief Executive, League Managers Association and Steve Cumming, Head of Sponsorship, Coca-Cola Great Britain."[1]
The Football League Championship is the second of the four main English Football Leagues.
