Forkston Township is a township in Wyoming County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 386 at the 2000 census.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 70.9 square miles (184 km2), of which, 70.8 square miles (183 km2) is land and 0.2 square miles (0.5 km², or 0.25%) is water.

At the census[1] of 2000, 386 people (in 166 households and 106 families) resided in the Township. The population density was 5.5 people per square mile (2.1/km²). The Township held 336 housing units, an average density of 4.7/sq mi (1.8/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 97.41% White, 0.26% American Indian, 0.26% Asian, 1.04% from other races, and 1.04% from two or more races; Hispanic or Latino persons of any race comprised 2.1% of the population.

Of the 166 households, 27.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 51.8% were married couples living together, 9.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 36.1% were non-families. Single persons comprised 27.7% of all households; 8.4% were single persons aged at least 65 years. The average household size was 2.33 persons, the average family size, 2.85.

The population of the Township was spread out. People younger than 18 years were 19.7% of the population; those from 18 to 24, 8.8%; 25 to 44, 26.9%; 45 to 64, 31.1%; and those aged at least 65 were 13.5% of the population. The median age was 42 years. For every 100 females, there were 106.4 males; for every 100 females aged 18 and over, there were 103.9 males aged 18 and over.

The median income for a household in the Township was $34,250; the median income for a family was $46,429. Males had a median income of $33,750, compared to a median income of $20,833 for females. The per capita income in the Township was $17,956. About 3.5% of families and 8.0% of the population were below the poverty line, including 4.6% of those under age 18 and 11.1% of those aged 65 or more.
