Novant Health is a not-for-profit, integrated healthcare system based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, serving communities in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia. It was formed July 1, 1997 by the merger of Carolina Medicorp of Winston-Salem, North Carolina and Presbyterian Health Services of Charlotte, North Carolina. The system has 15 medical centers, seven philanthropic foundations, and more than 340 clinics, outpatient surgery, imaging and diagnostic centers, rehabilitation programs and community health outreach programs. It employs more than 26,000 people and has more than 1,100 physicians in its medical group.[1]

Novant Health's new system-wide brand launched April 17, 2013. The new logo, mostly using purple, is the letter N followed by what appears to be a colon, but which also reveals a hidden H when seen with the words "Novant Health" on the right; these are in gray and stacked in all capitals on the right. The color purple represented "excellence" and "warmth".[2]
