History [edit]

In 2006, Sky TV was launched. In 2008, Fox was named Fox Series, bringing top-rated American shows from companies such as Fox and ABC. All shows were subtitled in Arabic while the audio is in English. Fox Series was owned by Rotana Entertainment and Fox International Channels which also own Fox Series' sister channel Fox Movies.

In 2011, Fox Series announced that starting March 1, 2011 Fox Series would be rebooted as Fox with new shows, new seasons and that all shows would dubbed with dual audio option.[citation needed]

The first dubbed broadcast was MasterChef Australia. Due to complaints about Arabic-dubbing, during Glee's premiere on Fox, the language was changed from Arabic to English.[citation needed] Two days later, the network announced that English would be its main language, but that viewers could switch to Arabic.[citation needed] No subtitles (except Glee musical numbers) would be shown.

Current programs include Brothers and Sisters, GREEK, Glee, Ugly Betty, MasterChef Australia, CSI: Miami and Joweed W Mofeed Fox's original series For Women Only.
