"Freakin' It" is the third and final single taken from American rapper Will Smith's second studio album, Willenium. The single was released on March 22, 2000. The song was written by Smith with a selection of other songwriters, including those of the Diana Ross chart single "Love Hangover," whose fast-paced bassline it samples, and was produced by Barnes & Bennett. The single peaked at #15 on the UK Singles Chart, however, was still regarded as a favorite amongst fans.
The music video for "Freakin' It" premiered in January 2000, at a total length of four minutes and thirteen seconds. The video was later added to Smith's official Vevo account on March 24, 2011. The video features Smith performing the song on a street in New York in wintery conditions. The music video was actually later to be known for its visually accepted scenery of Philadelphia and New York City, as he paid homage to his hometown.
