[edit] History
The club was formed in 1992 as Barnt Green Spartak. The reason for their choice of a name associated with Eastern European football is unclear.
In 1997 they joined the Midland Football Combination, initially in Division Three. In the 1999–00 season they finished in eighth place but were nonetheless promoted to Division Two. In 2002–03 they were champions of Division Two and followed this up by winning the Division One title in 2003–04. This earned them a second consecutive promotion and a place in the Premier Division, where they remain to this day.[2] In 2008 it was announced that the club's ownership had changed hands and the new regime would be changing the club's name to GSA.[3]
[edit] Ground
The club has shared the grounds of Alvechurch and Bromsgrove Rovers.[4] In 2009 the club relocated to Bloxwich.[1]
