GI Jesús (alternatively, G.I. Jesus), a film directed by Carl Colpaert, won the grand jury prize at the 2006 CineVegas Film Festival[citation needed]. Starring Joe Arquette as "Jesús" and Patricia Mota as "Claudia", Jesús is a Mexican national who joins the U.S. Army to receive naturalization in the United States, and returns to the US having suffered trauma while serving in Iraq.
