Gainesville, Georgia metropolitan area

Coordinates: 34°18′1.21″N 83°49′22.57″W / 34.3003361°N 83.8229361°W The Gainesville Metropolitan Statistical Area, as defined by the United States Census Bureau, is an area consisting of one county – Hall – in the state of Georgia. As of the 2000 census, the MSA had a population of 139,277 (though a July 1, 2009 estimate placed the population at 187,743).[1]
The Gainesville Metropolitan Statistical Area is also part of the larger Atlanta–Sandy Springs–Gainesville, Georgia-Alabama Combined Statistical Area.
