Gameplanet S.A. DE C.V. is the largest videogame retailer company in México, with 85 stores in the Mexican territory and one of the biggest product availability in the region. Gameplanet product lines are Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable (PSP), PlayStation Vita, Nintendo Wii, Wii U, Nintendo DS and Nintendo 3DS. Additional product lines sold are Blu-ray and DVDs, and toys from video games, including Mario, and the Megablocks: Halo and World of Warcraft.

1995[edit]

The first store was opened in Mexico City, inside Galerias Coapa mall.

2001[edit]

Website www.gameplanet.com opens online, being one of the first sites on the internet from a Latin American videogame retailer detailing their products.

2002[edit]

Participates in the first videogame show in Mexico (EGS) “The Electronic Game Show”, beginning their continuous participation in this event.

2006[edit]

Opens its 25th store in Galerias Metepec mall, ubicated on Estado de Mexico.

2007[edit]

Forms part of the “expo tus juguetes”, that is celebrated in the World Trade Center on Mexico City.

Store 50th is inaugurated, this store is ubicated in Durango's mall Paseo Durango.
