Gamertag Radio (GTR) is a gaming news and information site that features an online radio show dedicated to the Xbox Live community. Over the past few years GTR has grown from a small website to one of the largest and most respected gaming information/community sites on the Internet. The show features a new episode every week hosted by Godfree (Founder of Gamertag Radio).

Members of the staff that appear regularly on the show include co-host Peterocc (aka THM Peterocc), JVB, & Baked Ant. Other staff members that regularly contribute to GTR are Miss Irie & Anjo Banjo. In early September 2008, GTR introduced the two newest members of the Gamertag Radio staff, as Paustinj & LadyLuck.

Every week a new episode is created recapping the news of the past week and includes discussions about what is happening in the online gaming community along with interviews and a weekly custom soundtrack highlighting up & coming Hip Hop artists.

GTR also regularly reviews new games, discusses new downloadable content, talks about upcoming games, while attempting to shine some light on the Xbox Live gamers themselves who contribute to the gaming community. GTR has had the opportunity to interview many of the biggest names in the Xbox community such as Peter Moore (Head of EA Sports Gaming), Cliff Bleszinski (Lead designer of Gears of Wars), the staff of TeamXbox.com, Major Nelson (the Director of Programming for Xbox Live) and many others.

  • Recently joined the MTV Generation Tribe Network.
  • The 1,000,000th download of our podcast. It is a monumental milestone for this industry.
  • EA's sponsorship of GTR for E3 2007. This exclusive sponsorship from EA was the first time a major video game organization has sponsored an independent podcast for a major event.
  • GTR recently completed its first paid advertising campaign with the US Navy. This 3 month campaign featured custom introductions as well as pre-recorded commercials featuring actor Keith David (voice of the Arbiter - Halo 2/Halo 3)
  • Community Vib3s – The culmination of 3 years of hard work and determination. Gamertag Radio celebrated its 3 year anniversary with a day extravaganza of gaming, music and giveaways.
  • Halo 3 Launch Event - GTR was the only website in the world to stream live over the Internet providing nationwide coverage for the Halo 3 launch event simultaneously in NY, Miami, DC & Seattle.
  • GTR cares about giving back and raising awareness by actively participating in or promoting various charities including Walk for Autism, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Gaming 4 Others, Child's Play and Breast Cancer Awareness.
