Garhbeta III (community development block) is an administrative division in Medinipur Sadar subdivision of Paschim Medinipur district in the Indian state of West Bengal. Garbeta and Goaltore police stations serve this block. Headquarters of this block is at Sat Bankura. There is one census town in this block: Durllabhganj.[1][2]

Garhbeta III community development block has an area of 304.51  km2.[2]

Gram panchayats of Garhbeta III block/ panchayat samiti are: Amsole, Karsa, Nalbana, Nayabasat, Raskundu, Sankarkata, Satbankura and Uriasai.[3]

Demographics[edit]

As per 2001 census, Garhbeta III block had a total population of 145,827, out of which 74,846 were males and 70,981 were females. Garhbeta III block registered a population growth of 23.93 per cent during the 1991-2001 decade. Decadal growth for the combined Midnapore district was 14.87 per cent.[2] Decadal growth in West Bengal was 17.45 per cent.[4]
