The Gazette of India (Hi:Bharat kaa Rajpatra भारत का राजपत्र) is an authorised legal document and official journal of Government of India containing the mode of operations under the law of the land [1]. This is published weekly by Controller of Publications[2], New Delhi.

The Gazette of India Notifications are published by this department and are printed by the Government of India Printing Presses regularly. This is an authorised legal document of Government of India containing the mode of operations under the law of the land.

It may be mentioned here that this Publication Programme is executed as per the Government of India (Allocation of Business Rules) issued from time to time by the Cabinet Secretariat of the Republic of India.

The Department of Publication is headed by the Controller of Publications with the assistance of One Assistant Controller, one Financial Officer and an Assistant Director (Official Language) with over 270 employees under the overall guidance of the main Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India, Nirman Bhawan, New Delhi.
