General science is the name of a class usually taught in United States high schools and Junior High schools. It provides a brief overview of the scientific method, biology, physics, chemistry, and sometimes other subjects such as geology, astronomy, human physiology, or human health. Unlike subject-specific classes, "general science" does not require any mathematical skills beyond basic arithmetic.
