George D. Gardner is an American football coach in the United States.

Coaching career[edit]

Coach George Gardner was the head college football coach for the McPherson Bulldogs located in McPherson, Kansas. He held that position for 5 seasons, from 1925 until 1929. His coaching record at McPherson was 10 wins, 25 losses and 4 ties. As of the conclusion of the 2010 season, this ranks him #10 at McPherson in total wins and #17 at the school in winning percentage (.308).[1]

In 1937, he was named basketball coach at Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas. At the time he had been working as an insurance agent at Arkansas City, Kansas, where he continued to work when not on coaching duty.[2]
