Gerard Cornielje

Gerard Cornielje (born 12 June 1962, 's-Heerenberg, Gelderland) is a saxophonist, singer and poet. Cornielje is also known for his studies and publications regarding transformational-generative grammar.

His albums include Lounge Lizard (2000), Zoek (2002) and Saxbomb (2006).

His books include Het Dal Der Moerbezienbomen (1978), Goudgemutst (1980), Zomer (1983), Naar Morgen (1985) Japanese Jazz (2000) and "In Exsilium" (2007) Received on 1 May 2011 'De Zilveren Brandnetel' an award for the best poem in the book 'Reuring in de Tent' by publishing house 'De Wilg' in the Netherlands. Cornielje lives and works currently in Switzerland.
