The PartyPoker.net German Darts Championship is a darts tournament organised by the Professional Darts Corporation. The event began in 2007 and was held in the Gerry Weber Centre in Halle, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It was a Premier event on the PDC Calendar for its first three stagings.[citation needed] Phil Taylor is the defending champion.
The fourth edition was originally moved into the beginning of 2011, but was translated into two separate players championship events which took place on 29–30 January 2011.[1]
In 2012 the German Darts Championship returns as part of the PDC European Tour. The tournament was held at the Tempodrom in Berlin, Germany.[2]
