Germantown High School (Philadelphia)
Germantown High School is a secondary school located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
GHS, located in Germantown, is a part of the School District of Philadelphia. The school was built in 1914 which makes it one of the oldest in the country.[citation needed] Its students are mostly African-American, despite the previous German population of the region. Students come from the Logan, Germantown, Mt. Airy, Chestnut Hill, and Nicetown-Tioga(North Philadelphia) sections of the city. The team name is the Bears.

GHS students are required to wear school uniforms [1]. Uniforms consist of green or white Germantown High logo tops and black bottoms.

Feeder middle schools into Germantown include Roosevelt Middle School.[2] K-8 feeder schools into Germantown include Charles W. Henry School, Henry H. Houston School, John S. Jenks School, and Anna L. Lingelbach School.[2]
