Get Him Eat Him
Get Him Eat Him was a five-piece indie rock band from Providence, Rhode Island[1] that existed from February 2004[2] to February 2009.[3] The band signed to Absolutely Kosher Records in the summer of 2004 and recorded their debut album Geography Cones with Jay Pellicci (Deerhoof, Erase Errata, 31 Knots) at San Francisco's Tiny Telephone Studio.[4] On subsequent tours, they released three handmade EPs: The Rude Reach, Do As I Tell You and Get Him Eat Him Challenges You to a Game of Basketball. Many of the songs from these EPs were re-recorded for their second album, 2007's Arms Down,[2] which was produced by the Dismemberment Plan's Jason Caddell and mixed by Joel Hamilton.[5]
Get Him Eat Him played their last show on February 21, 2009 at Union Hall in Brooklyn, New York.[3] Their final recording, The Throat is Bent EP was released at approximately the same time.[3]
