Get Ready To Bounce was a song produced by German progressive electronica duo Brooklyn Bounce. Released in 1997, it was one of the first modern electronica songs to gain widespread mainstream airplay.
The interesting thing about Get Ready To Bounce is that "Brooklyn Bounce" is said several times in the song. Listeners in the United States who had never heard of Brooklyn Bounce before assumed it was an ode to Brooklyn. Slight rearrangements of the song were made, with each one sent to a different market with the name of its city replacing Brooklyn. An example of this is Orlando Bounce, which was heard exclusively in Greater Orlando.
