"Get Up and Jump" is a song by Red Hot Chili Peppers from their 1984 debut album, the eponymous The Red Hot Chili Peppers. Get Up and Jump is the second single released from the album and was preceded by True Men Don't Kill Coyotes. No music video was ever made for Get Up and Jump.
This was the second song the band wrote, with "Out in L.A." being the first. The songs were played before the Peppers got a record deal and they were just an opening act known as Tony Flow and the Miraculously Majestic Masters of Mayhem.
The song has not been performed live since 1991 although it was teased twice in 2003.
