Gheens Academy is located at 4425 Preston Hwy. Louisville, Kentucky 40213 next to Louisville Male High School. It opened in 1983 and is the home of Jefferson County Public Schools Departments of Curriculum & Assessment, Professional Development & Innovations, Instructional Support, English as a Second Language (ESL), & Curriculum Resource Center. Library Media Services also houses its Professional Library & Book Preview Center at this location. This site was the former location of Prestonia Elementary School.
