The organization, founded in 1983, was known as Gifts In Kind until 2011, when the organization became known as Good360. Good360is the fifty-second largest charity in America, according to the Chronicle of Philanthropy. The organization generated and placed nearly $900 million in product donations in 2006. Good360 receives donations from thousands of large and small companies, including Fortune 100 technology, retail and consumer corporations. Good360 distributes these donations to more than 30,000 community charities across the United States and throughout the world.
Good360 is acknowledged as one of the most cost-efficient charities by Forbes magazine. In 2006, it operated on 0.3 percent of the fair market value of its donations - meaning 99.7 percent of all donations went directly to the organization's charitable recipients.
Charity Navigator gave Good360 a four-star rating for six consecutive years.
