Glenda Schroeder

Glenda Schroeder is an American software engineer who implemented the first shell for the Multics operating system (a predecessor to the Unix shell) at MIT.[1] She also described the first e-mail implementation [2] in 1964-65 (with Pat Crisman and Louis Pouzin) for a system of notifying users about backups of files .[3]
