Glenelg East is a suburb of Adelaide, South Australia located east of the historic suburb of Glenelg.

In 2006, 3,573 persons were resident in the suburb. 90.6 per cent only spoke English at home with other languages spoken being Greek, Italian, German and Cantonese.[2]

The suburb is bounded by the Anzac Highway to the north and Brighton Road to the west. The Glenelg tramline passes through the suburb in its western parts and is part of the suburb's border with Glengowrie in the east of the suburb.[citation needed]

The suburb features several open parks that include children's play equipment, open spaces, barbecue facilities and shelter. Notable parks within the suburb are Da Costa Reserve and Lions Park
The Glenelg Oval is a well used cricket and Australian Rules Football venue that is the home ground for the SANFL Glenelg Football Club.
