Gliese 833 is a K1V class star located in the night sky at Right ascension 21h 36 m 41.244 s and declination -50° 50′ 43.39″ in the constellation of Indus.
At a distance of 45.66 Light Years and with an absolute magnitude of +6.30 this star has an apparent magnitude of +7.16 when viewed from earth.
The star moves with a total Proper Motion of 0.477 "/yr and Radial velocity of +19 Km/s.
This Orange star has a radius of 0.81 times that of the sun and is 0.77 solar masses. The surface temperature is 5038 K and spectrogram line shows a Metallicity [Fe/H] of 68% that of the sun.
The star is also known as HD 205390, HIP-106696, YPC: 5198.00, SAO- 247109, CP-51 11696 and cd -51°12998.
