Go Vap District

Gò Vấp is a district in Hồ Chí Minh City, Vietnam. In July 1976, two wards (Bình Hòa and Thạnh Mỹ Tây) split from Gò Vấp District to create Bình Thạnh District.

Later, the ward of Mỹ Bình joined Củ Chi District; Nha Binh, Thành Lộc, An Phú Đông and Tân Thới Hiệp joined Hóc Môn district. Gò Vấp District has 16 wards. As of 2003 the district had a population of 433,287.[1] The district covers an area of 20 km².[1]
