Go Vap District

Gò Vấp is a district in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. In July 1976, two wards (Binh Hoa and Thanh My Tay) split from Go Vap District to create Binh Thanh District. Later, My Binh Ward joined Cu Chi District; Nha Binh, Thanh Loc, An Phu Dong and Tan Thoi Hiep joined Hoc Mon district. Now, Go Vap district has 16 wards. As of 2003 the district had a population of 433,287.[1] The district covers an area of 20 km².[1]
