Go West, Young Man is a 1936 Paramount Pictures comedy film directed by Henry Hathaway starring Mae West. The supporting cast includes Warren William, Alice Brady, Elizabeth Patterson, and Lyle Talbot. The film was based on the three-act comedy Personal Appearance by Lawrence Riley, in which Gladys George had originated the role reprised in this film by Mae West.

The phrase "Go West, Young Man" is often attributed to New York Tribune founder Horace Greeley, and often misattributed to Indiana journalist John B. L. Soule, but latest research shows it to be a paraphrase.[1]
