The Golden Pen Achievement Award is a rare honour given out by the Writers Guild of Alberta to acknowledge outstanding literary contribution by an Albertan. Notable recipients of this award include: W.O. Mitchell in 1994 , J.W. Grant MacEwan in 2000, and Eva Rutland(2000).[1]
