Resident Commissioners of the Solomon Islands Protectorate (1896–1953) [edit]
The Resident Commissioners were subordinate to the High Commissioner for the Western Pacific who was, until 3 July 1952, the Governor of Fiji.

From 1 January 1953, the Governor of the Solomon Islands was also the High Commissioner for the Western Pacific, and exercised direct administration from Honiara.
