IUKB was officially recognised by the Swiss Government as a university institute in 1992 in accordance with Federal Law on Financial Aid to Universities (UFG/LAU).
In IUKB, students could study two masters : in child's rights (Master Interdisciplinaire en Droits de l'Enfant) and in tourism (Master Interdisciplinaire en Tourisme). This masters are recognised in Switzerland and in the other countries.
