[edit] Trivia

  • This was the only Grammy ceremony that involved an award ultimately being revoked. The award for Best New Artist was awarded to Milli Vanilli. On November 12, 1990 it was announced that they did not perform on their record. As a result the award was revoked a few days later.[3]
