Greater Berzerkistan, more commonly referred to as 'Berzerkistan', is a fictional country featured in Doonesbury by Garry Trudeau. Until March 19, 2011, it was ruled by President for Life Trff Bmzklfrpz (pronounced Ptklm), a parody of Saparmurat Niyazov.

Berzerkistan borders Iran and Russia. Although never stated outright, it presumably borders Afghanistan as well, as Jeff Redfern was carried there on March 19, 2011 by Berzerkistan's main river, the Kzfftp.

Greater Berzerkistan was apparently part of the Eastern Bloc, presumably until the fall of the Soviet Union.
[edit] Kurdish Berzerkistan
Kurdish Berzerkistan is a region inside Berzerkistan, inhabited mainly by Kurds. It was subject to Ethnic cleansing in 2007.
