Montreal's Greektown is a proposed name for a neighbourhood located on Park Avenue, Montreal between Mount Royal Avenue and Van Horne Avenue. [1] Historically Greek influence has been very strong in this area along with the adjoining Park Extension neighbourhood. There are over 61,000 Montrealers of Greek descent.[2]
Montreal's Greektown was "party central" when Greece won the 2004 UEFA European Football Championship.[3]
