Greycoats released their first album Setting Fire to the Great Unknown in 2008.
The song "Watchmen, What Is Left of the Night" was featured on the second season of Gossip Girl (TV series).
Greycoats second album is being produced by Matt Patrick and Jeremy Ylvisaker at the Library Recording Studio and will be released in 2011.

[edit] Musical style
Greycoats style can be described as melodramatic. They inspire an Orwellian theme in both their lyrics and communication with fans. They often will include video running along in the background at live shows. Videos have included images from movies such as The NeverEnding Story (film), Animal Farm (1954 film), and Paradise Now.
