The Greyhound Corporation was the parent company of the U.S. operations of Greyhound Lines. Greyhound Lines, Inc., was spun off from the parent corporation in 1987. Greyhound Corporation, a diversified company based in Phoenix, Arizona -- producer of Dial Soap and Armour meat products, later changed its name to the Dial Corporation and moved to Scottsdale, Arizona. After spinning off Greyhound Lines, Inc., it was purchased by to Laidlaw's transportation unit.
