Gruemirë is a municipality in the Malësi e Madhe District, Shkodër County, northwestern Albania.[1] The population at the 2011 census was 8,890.[2]

Etymology[edit]

The etymology of Gruemire is in Albanian, as it derives from the binary compound word Gruemire, being the union of Grue(Albanian for woman) and Mire (Albanian for good), as it could be translated in English into 'Good Woman' from the original Albanian form.
