Guimarães Municipality (Portuguese pronunciation: [ɡimɐˈɾɐ̃ȷ̃ʃ]) is located in northwestern Portugal in the province of Minho and in the Braga District. It contains the city of Guimarães.

The present Mayor is António Magalhães Silva, elected by the Socialist Party.
