Gulf Medical University
Gulf Medical University (formerly Gulf Medical College) is based in Ajman. The college offers M.B.B.S., Bachelor of Physiotherapy, Pharm D and DMD undergraduate programs in addition to postgraduate and residency programs. Gulf Medical University is the first medical school in the region to offer admission to both males and females of all nationalities. Thumbay Moideen is the founder and president of this university established in 1998.
The college publishes the quarterly health magazine GMC Health Journal.
The Student General Council elections take place annually for which one general secretary and two joint secretaries are appointed. The Student Council has had a strong bearing on college events and activities. The college hails the elected general secretaries by displaying their names at the main hall university entrance.
The university encompasses a state of the art gym (Body & Soul), swimming pool, tennis stadiums, squash courts an auditorium and plans to incorporate staff accommodation and another hospital within the main university campus.

The Gulf Medical College Hospital and Research Centre is in the Emirate of Ajman and is affiliated to the university.
The University offers postgraduate courses in Public Health, Toxicology and Clinical Pathology for a fee of AED 100,000.
