The Guntur-Macherla section is on Repalle-Bibinagar branch line. It belongs to South Central Railway of Guntur division.

History[edit]

The Guntur-Macherla section was opened in 1930.[1] It was a Metre gauge line earlier. Later it was to converted Broad gauge. This line was used during the construction of Nagarjuna Sagar Dam.

Route[edit]

This route starts from Guntur which passes through Nallapadu,Piduguralla,Satennapalle and Nadikudi.This them Section joins Nadikudi-Bibinagar section.
