[edit] Plot
Sahil has a poor relationship with his stepfather Governor Jaisingh Sinha. The Governor tries to bond with Sahil only to be increasingly hated by him. Even Sahil's mother is unable to convince Sahil to open up to Jaisingh. Sahil starts college and is surprised to find his childhood friend Isha whom he has not seen since the latter was sent to boarding school. Isha is the daughter of Jaisingh's secretary Ishwan Diwan. Sahil also meets Sheetal, the daughter of his father's friend Megnath Chaudhary. Isha and Sahil start falling in love - Sheetal also falls for Sahil, which he is unaware of.
Jaisingh and Megnath learn that Sheetal loves Sahil. Jaisingh decides that he will announce Sahil and Sheetal's engagement publicly at Sahil's birthday party. Sahil is furious when this occurs because he does not love Sheetal and instead wanted to announce his engagement to Isha. Sahil and Jaisingh end up arguing and in a fit of rage, Sahil attempts to stab his father. His mother comes between them and Sahil and Isha leave the party. Sahil and Sheetal are talking the next day and Sheetal convinces Sahil to apologise to his father. Sahil agrees to but when he arrives home, he discovers that his father has been stabbed with the same knife at the party the previous night. Sahil did not see the killer enter or leave but has one clue - a locket which assumingly belongs to the killer. Sahil is taken to court, where his mother along with others who were at his party agree that he is responsible for his stepfather's death. He is sentenced to 14 years in prison but is able to hand the locket over to Sheetal at the moment of his arrest. Sheetal still loves Sahil (despite his outrage at his father wanting him to marry her) and knowing he is innocent decides to help him escape from jail. Sahil realises that his father meant a lot to him and decides to track down the real killer, proving his innocence in the process. When he is released from prison, he is reunited with Isha - both Sheetal and Isha are in love with him and want to help him solve the mystery of who killed his father.
On the other hand, Sahil has one problem - he is being targeted by no-nonsense Inspector Udham Singh. Also, Sahil's investigation will become more complicated as Jaisingh was only the first victim of the unknown killer. Who is the killer? Will Sahil find them? Or will he be too late and end up back in prison? Sahil decides to meet Dr. Gandhi, who may have a clue to who killed the Governor. When Sahil arrives at Gandhi's house, he finds Gandhi has been stabbed to. One by one, he confronts those who testified against him in court, as he eblieves many of them would have a motive for murdering his father. When Inspector Singh hears about this, he realises Sahil may be innocent. Later, Singh is at the Diwan household where he discovers that Diwan has the knife used to kill the Governor - he has him imprisoned. But was Diwan truely the killer?
