Regional Science High School Union
The Gusa Regional Science High School - X (Filipino: Mataas na Paaralan ng Agham Panrehiyon ng Gusa) is a public science high school supervised by the Department of Education. The school was established in June 1994 as Gusa National High School. It became the Regional Science High School for Region X:Northern Mindanao in 2012 through the House Bill No. 3000 of the 15th Congress. It is located in Gusa, Cagayan de Oro City, Misamis Oriental, Philippines.
The Gusa Barangay High School is the center or the barangay high school for barangay Gusa, Cagayan de Oro City. In 1994, through the efforts of the Gusa Barangay Council and other supporting authorities, it was then renamed to Gusa National High School. In the late 1990s, through the efforts of the principal Mrs. Myrna L. Mandawe, from Gusa National High School, it then became the Regional Science High School for Region X. In 2012, through the House Bill No. 3000 of the 15th Congress of the Philippines, it was then renamed as Gusa Regional Science High School-X. The principal Mrs. Mandawe had her retirement on November 2013, and was then replaced by Mr. Marlon Francis C. Seriña.
Gusa Regional Science High School-X is the center of academic excellence in Region X, Northern Mindanao. It is the only science high school founded in the whole region. It is a member of the Regional Science High School Union, an organization of all the Regional Science High Schools throughout the Philippines, which consists of a network of 17 schools in the country which offer a science-oriented curriculum that caters to students with aptitude in the sciences.
The school is aimed at the development of a science culture among the students with the view to preparing them for careers in the sciences.
Core Curriculum (Regular H.S) and Curricula of English, Science and Mathematics shall be enriched by additional subjects and electives prescribed in DepEd Order no. 49, s. 2003. 
Students who belong to upper 10% of the Grade VI graduating class, recommended by their respective principals are qualified to take the entrance exam. Examinees should have a final grade of 85% in English, Science and Mathematics and a final grade of 83% in all other learning areas, without grades lower than 80% in all subjects.
Minimum of two (2) classes and a maximum of six (6) classes for each year level. Minimum of twenty five (25) and a maximum of forty (40) students per class for better instruction and improved laboratory work. Managed by School Principal in coordination with DepEd Regional and Division Offices.
Four (4) grading periods Numerical system of grading and in multiples of one Final grade of 85% in English, Science and Mathematics and a final grade of 83% in all other learning areas, without grades lower than 80% in all subjects.
