HD 171872 is a 7th magnitude star in the constellation Lyra. It is a white star of the spectral type A0, meaning it possesses a surface temperature of about 11,000 kelvin, which is almost twice as hot as the surface of our Sun.[1] It can be found within 30 arcminutes of the star Vega.[2]
