HD 172149 is a 8th magnitude star in the constellation Lyra. It is a yellowish white star of the spectral type F2V, meaning it is a dwarf star like our Sun, but brighter and hotter, with a surface temperature of 6,000 to 7,500 kelvin.[1] It can be found within 20 arcminutes of the star Vega.[2]
