HSL class of Inshore patrol vessels (IPV) is a series of eight watercraft being built by state owned M/s Hindustan Shipyard limited Visakapatnam. for Indian Coast Guard. The vessels are based on Marine Technology Development Ltd (MTD) design.[1] Their yard numbers ranges from 11165 to 11172.[2] Their contractual delivery period is stated from August 2013 to May 2015.[2] It is a follow on class (phase-2) of Rani Abbakka class inshore patrol vessel which is based on Australian Thornycroft design.[2]
