[edit] Packages
AhnLab provides HackShield as security solution for online games. This feature helps game companies stop gamers from hacking their game and getting items not available to the normal player.[3]
[edit] Features
AhnLab HackShield For Online Game has numerous errors leading to hacks, for example in Combat Arms.[citation needed] security features like Executable File Encryption, but lacks the 'hardware' banning system of industry rival PunkBuster.[4] HackShield installs its device driver when the game utilising HackShield is installed. On later operating systems such as Windows 7, it blocks the use of compatibility mode and other features as part of anti-cheat detection. Many games that use AhnLab HackShield have openly available hacks made by individuals online.
