Hanamsagar is a village in the Karnataka, southern state of India.[1][2] It is located in the Kushtagi taluk of Koppal district in Karnataka.

About Hanamsagar Hanamsagar is a village in the State of Karnataka with a population of approximately 21,335. The closest tourism destination to Hanamsagar is Aihole. Other close by tourism destinations include Pattadakal, Badami and Hampi. The nearest major railway station to Hanamsagar is Bagalkot (BGK) which is at a distance of approximately. 68km. The nearest airport is at Hubli which is at a distance of 155 kilometres. Lying at an elevation of 1981 m, which makes it a high-altitude city.

As of 2001 India census, Hanamsagar had a population of 12,919 with 6,556 males and 6,363 females.[1]


The place has earned historical importance due to the presence of Venkteshwar Temple (Abhinava Tirupathi) at the hill top. It is believed that the god himself came here to please his devotee. Hanamasagar is also Well known for the temple Shree "KARISIDDESHWAR" which is belongs to the mysore samstana mata..and a god "bavani" temple belongs to S.S.K samaj hanamsagar
