It is a small African haplogroup from East Africa. The highest frequency is in MbutiPygmies at 15%. It is present in relatively small frequencies in Tanzania (Sandawe and others), Kenya, Ethiopia, Sudan, Nubia, Egypt[Note 1] and Saudi Arabia.
