Harlow District Council election, 2008

Elections to Harlow Council were held on 1 May 2008. One third of the council was up for election and the Conservative party gained overall control of the council from no overall control. Overall turnout was 33.80%.[1]

The Conservative party took eight of the ten seats contested including four gains. The Labour party lost all of the seats they had held while the Liberal Democrats won two seats.[2]

The election in Harlow Common ward was delayed until 12 June 2008.[1]
